Terroir & Climate
At 93 metres elevation, Green Care Arro Ltd. sits in the lowland plains typical of Bangladesh's northern tea-growing areas. Estates at this altitude generally experience warm, humid conditions with minimal diurnal temperature variation, a climate profile that tends to favour rapid vegetative growth and high-volume production cycles. The Rangpur region, positioned in the country's northwest, typically receives substantial monsoon rainfall, and the flat topography combined with alluvial soils often supports vigorous flush patterns throughout much of the year.
The low elevation and tropical latitude usually result in a growing environment where茶 plants can be harvested almost year-round, with the most active flush periods coinciding with the warmer, wetter months. Estates in similar settings often contend with managing canopy vigour and maintaining leaf quality during peak monsoon periods, when rapid growth can dilute flavour compounds. The terroir here tends to yield teas with body and strength rather than the more delicate aromatics associated with higher-altitude gardens.
Tea Produced
Green Care Arro Ltd. produces black tea. Estates in Rangpur at comparable elevations typically yield full-bodied, robust black teas with straightforward malty or earthy character. The warm, low-altitude growing conditions generally favour teas with good colour and strength in the cup, often suited to blending or to markets that prize body and astringency over nuanced aromatics. While specific processing methods at this estate are not documented, black teas from the region are often produced using orthodox or CTC manufacturing, depending on intended market and buyer specifications.
