Instructions
1
Select the Fruit: Do not buy smooth passion fruits; they are underripe and sour. Choose fruits with deeply wrinkled, purple skin. They will be sweeter and more aromatic.
2
Prep the Pulp: Slice the fruits in half. Use a spoon to scoop the orange pulp and black seeds into a glass or cocktail shaker.
3
Sweeten: Add the honey and lemon juice directly to the pulp. Stir vigorously or muddle slightly to break up the pulp sacs and release the juice.
4
Mix: Pour in the cold Jasmine Green Tea. Add ice. Shake or stir well to chill.
5
Serve: Pour into glasses. Note: We recommend keeping the seeds for texture, but if you prefer a smooth drink, strain the mixture through a sieve before serving.
Why Jasmine Tea?
You can use black tea, but Jasmine Green Tea is the traditional pairing in Asian fruit teas. The floral scent of the jasmine blossoms enhances the tropical aroma of the passion fruit without overpowering it. See our Review of Best Jasmine Pearls.
